Project Manager – EPC Delivery

Location: Travelling Role – Based on Site

About the Role:
Sequoia is seeking a driven and experienced Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects. This role requires a hands-on leader who can manage the full project lifecycle from preconstruction through closeout, with a strong emphasis on coordination, quality, safety, and execution.

As a small, growing organization, Sequoia offers a unique opportunity to leverage your expertise and shape how projects are delivered. The ideal candidate brings both strategic oversight and field awareness, working closely with clients, engineers, trade partners, and internal teams to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of technically complex infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage EPC project delivery from design coordination through procurement, construction, commissioning, and turnover

  • Lead project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control processes

  • Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to align scopes, resolve conflicts, and maintain progress

  • Oversee field execution, including self-perform and subcontracted work, with a focus on safety, quality, and productivity

  • Drive client communication and relationship management, ensuring expectations are met or exceeded

  • Implement project controls, reporting tools, and risk mitigation strategies

  • Support procurement and negotiation of subcontracts, equipment, and materials

  • Facilitate project meetings, submittal reviews, RFIs, change orders, and documentation closeout

  • Mentor project engineers and field staff to support team development and performance

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of project management experience, preferably in EPC or infrastructure delivery

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, civil, and process systems

  • Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and multidisciplinary teams

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

  • Experience with self-perform construction is a plus

  • Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Buildertrend, Procore, or similar platforms)

Project Manager- Water/Wastewater

Location: Florida – Based on Site

About the Role:
Sequoia is hiring a Project Manager to oversee scopes on water/wastewater construction projects throughout Florida. This role involves managing schedules, budgets, and contracts while working closely with field leaders, general contractors, and trade partners to ensure successful project delivery.

Sequoia values leaders who are hands-on, resourceful, and team-oriented. In addition to managing project execution, you’ll play a key role in building field teams, hiring craft labor, and helping grow our operational capabilities across the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee our scopes from preconstruction through closeout, with responsibility for cost, schedule, and coordination

  • Work closely with superintendent and craft to support daily field operations and crew management

  • Support craft hiring, workforce planning, and subcontractor prequalification

  • Track budgets, issue subcontracts and purchase orders, and manage change orders

  • Review drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure scope compliance and accuracy

  • Maintain open communication with general contractors, vendors, and field teams

  • Coordinate procurement, deliveries, RFIs, and field-engineering resolutions

  • Promote Sequoia’s core values through leadership, responsiveness, and accountability

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of project management experience with a subcontractor, preferably in mechanical or utility scopes

  • Strong understanding of subcontractor roles within larger GC-led projects

  • Experience hiring and managing field crews

  • Proficiency in scheduling, cost tracking, and construction documentation

  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and team-building skills

  • Construction management software experience preferred

Superintendent- Water/Wastewater

Location: Florida- Based on Site

About the Role:
Sequoia is seeking a highly motivated Superintendent to lead field operations for subcontracted scopes on water/wastewater projects throughout Florida. This role is responsible for managing daily site activities, coordinating self-perform crews and subcontractors, enforcing safety and quality standards, and ensuring that work progresses on schedule and within budget.

As a growing company, we’re looking for a Superintendent who can do more than run a jobsite. You will play a key role in building field teams, recruiting and mentoring skilled craftworkers, and setting the tone for safety, accountability, and performance in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct day-to-day field activities, ensuring scope, schedule, and safety requirements are met

  • Supervise and coordinate Sequoia’s self-perform labor and subcontractors

  • Support hiring, onboarding, and training of skilled tradespeople and field staff

  • Promote and enforce jobsite safety standards, performing daily audits and toolbox talks

  • Monitor productivity, resolve field conflicts, and maintain daily reports and progress tracking

  • Coordinate with the Project Manager to plan sequencing, resolve scope issues, and track material deliveries

  • Maintain quality control and adherence to project specifications and drawings

  • Build a positive, accountable field culture focused on teamwork, ownership, and craftsmanship

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of superintendent or foreman-level experience, preferably in mechanical, utility, or civil scopes

  • Strong knowledge of field construction practices, including safety protocols and subcontractor coordination

  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, schedules, and specifications

  • Proven track record of team leadership, craft hiring, and workforce development

  • Excellent communication, time management, and conflict resolution skills

  • OSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
